This is a Fitness Influencer Intervention

Updated: Apr 14

Being a college student and trying to get stronger is already enough without the noise.

Between classes, late nights, random schedules, and whatever else is going on, the last thing you need is a new training philosophy every week from someone on your phone telling you that everything you’re doing is outdated.

Strength training does not require constant reinvention. It requires repetition. You pick a plan that makes sense for your lifestyle, then you stick with it long enough for your body to actually adapt to it.

The students I work with who make progress are not bouncing between programs every time a new trend shows up online. They are the ones showing up, putting in the work, and letting time do its job.

A simple approach works best. Train a few days a week. Focus on the main lifts. Try a basic linear progression program if you don't know where to start (I have one that's really easy to follow). Keep it steady enough that you can actually track progress instead of restarting every month.

Nutrition does not need to be complicated either. Eat enough to support training. Get your protein in to build muscle. Manage, but don't neglect, your carbs. Don’t treat every meal like another assignment. Your body responds to consistency more than precision.

Recovery matters just as much. Sleep as much as you can between the late-night study sessions. Try to make it a priority without letting your grades slip.

The biggest mistake college lifters make is constantly resetting. New program, new influencer routine, new promise. That cycle doesn't get you any stronger.

There is nothing wrong with learning new things. But don't let the new things get in the way of actually doing what works.

Pick something basic. Run it long enough to see what happens. Adjust when you longer see progress, not when you're bored. That's when you'll really start seeing the fruits of your effort.

If you want help cutting through the noise and building something you can actually stick to, drop me a line for 1:1 personal coaching or train in a group that keeps you consistent and focused.
